Team Organization:

The most important task o the Product development is the organization of a team.
Generally speaking from the automotive perspective, following is the structure.

CEO - President - Vice President - General Managers - Project Managers - Product manager - Engineering managers - VPI/ NPI Managers - Sr. Design Engineers ( Design lead) - Design Engineers.

Most of the structure remains same at least to the point of Product Managers, where it may differ based on the type of product under consideration.
